Media.Culture.Art.Exchange Radebeul
How did it all start#
Mondstern - the one with the colourful square acrylic paintings#
On Sunday, 6 April 2025, Daniel Nicolaus, owner of the Altnaundorf Art Barn, told me about the Media.Culture.Art.Exchange. And since I am a regional artist and am exhibiting with him again this year, I can come to his stand to present my art. I am delighted to hear this news.
I was very happy about that, so in the afternoon I went through all the acrylic paintings available, which were about 700 in my room, and picked out 13. Because the five of us shared a stand, the plan was to select 5 out of the 13 pieces to present.
At 10 o’clock sharp, I was at the Landesbühnen Sachsen theatre to help set up our stand. So I carried easels and other things to our spot. As I walked by, I heard the (presumably organising group) say something like: ‘…we have to take care of the artists.’ That fascinated me.
The following were exhibited#
ANOTHERpass, CAPod, Cofi, Currencies, Delta Chat, Energize, Grocy, Logger, Meshtastic, moreDays, Parlera, Prav and wger.
It started at 11 a.m. and lasted until 7 p.m. My wish was to network with other artists and talk to visitors who stopped to look at my acrylic paintings. I was able to do both.
As an artist, you got a free lunch and as many drinks as you wanted. There was delicious soup and I often got mineral water.
Many showed keen interest. Some also asked me for business cards. As the request was too spontaneous, I didn’t have any with me this time. I will make up for that.
