The idea for personalised labels came to me at the beginning of October 2022. I had seen a regional jam manufacturer at an autumn market. This resulted in 17 acrylic paintings with QR codes which were available from February to October 2023. It was supposed to be something similar to Buy Me a Coffee. The difference was that people couldn’t support me directly. People could buy jam jars with 17 of my acrylic paintings and a QR code. So they could eat the jam, scan the QR code and install the respective app. Then, unfortunately, the jam manufacturer went out of business and I looked for another option.

The idea behind the personalised labels is therefore another way to show my acrylic paintings to others and promote free software. Two years passed while I searched. It is now October 2025, and I had a brilliant idea: why not ask a Juice press? That’s no longer a small project.

If Keep Android Open hadn’t been there, I might still be thinking about it. At the moment, it looks like I’ll have to postpone my plans by a year. I’ll keep at it, I promise.

It was originally planned like this: I have a nice iconpack that can display 520 acrylic paintings, either with a launcher or on the homescreen. I had already sample labels created for me. Then you would have to ask a printing company for the print file, then have a certain number of labels printed. Then let the labels stick on the bottles at the Juice press.

And if that should not be possible from September 2026, I would have invested a lot of money there and it would not have been possible anymore.

I have to rethink now! This is also possible with Linux. If I find someone who can answer everything with “YES:

  • You use Linux
  • You are familiar with Flathub/Flatpak
  • You can also speak English (Of course, German would be easier)
  • You can handle Github.

If we don’t bring it to Flathub, but as “manually” as “Arcticons Linux (the Arcticons Android Iconpack for Linux) https://codeberg.org/Arcticons/Arcticons-Linux , let’s work together on Codeberg.

The Juice press is KEKILA

I’m not there yet. But it’s coming. I have to reschedule it. And change.
