I paint exclusively with acrylic colours. Where the water content is high, I don't paint with it. I currently have 4 boxes full of acrylic paints. I don't know exactly how many tubes there are.
I look at the logos of free software and then I think about how much time I have decide which logo and how to paint it. The ideas always come to me.
First I paint the background of the picture. Until the Corona period, I also painted a black background, but that depresses you. Since then I've changed the colours.
Examples: Medilog actually has a black background and a white sign. For the exhibition in Dresden (Germany) in 2022, I also painted it with a white background and black sign. For Morse, I didn't paint a sign on it but just the background to show that you can still recognise it. I always paint the 40x120 banners non-stop. That way 6 hours can pass and afterwards I'm always really hungry.
This list is very long. You can also make suggestions, but it must be free software and the source code must be available. However, it is not clear whether I will paint it.
When I was just starting to paint, it was Gadgetbridge, this is the painting that was on the square invitation flyer for my 1st exhibition in Berlin (Germany) 2020, which is still open to the public.
I don't know at the moment whether there was a most difficult picture to paint among the almost 1000 acrylic paintings.
Every picture is of equal value. Simply use the images as works of art. Several colourful pictures as one, e.g. a triple picture like Gadgetbridge, Imagepipe and Pixelfed next to each other, also looks beautiful. I am also proud of the styled banner images, e.g. Hope -4 letters on 5 canvases in green- and Love -4 letters on 5 canvases- in red. But there are also others. I find it difficult to name any of them.
There were only a few, maybe three. And yes, they were then available as acrylic paintings.
If you also have a question/several questions about my acrylic project, please let me know. I will answer or update it here in this blog.
